A Park Permit for Royal St. George's College

23 Sep 2020 10:19 PM | Anonymous member (Administrator)
The City of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation has allowed Royal St. George's College a permit to use St. Alban's Square park as a space for small group outdoor learning during the global pandemic. This is consistent with the advice of Toronto Public Health that schools should, where possible, allow for outdoor classes while the weather is cooperative. Outdoor learning is safer for children and allows them a time to remove their masks.

RSGC has shared with neighbours the guidelines they are following for the use of the park:

  1. We are prioritizing our own on-campus space for outdoor learning wherever we can.
  2. We willl use the space for quiet learning in small cohorts or classes. There will not be organized games or sports in the park.
  3. We will, of course, clean up after ourselves.
  4. We share the desire that the park be a space for the quiet enjoyment of all who use it.
