The City of Toronto and the ARA are giving away free trees.
Get a FREE tree (or Shrub) on Saturday May 23 from Jean Sibelius Square Park from 10am-3pm.
For a $30 donation to the ARA, the tree/shrub will be delivered and planted by a team of TDX and ARA Volunteers. Limit one per household. We will endeavour to provide you with your preferred species, but sadly, cannot guarantee what the city provides.
While our non-Annex friends are welcome to a free tree, delivery and planting services are restricted to the area bounded by the CP rail line, Avenue Road, Bloor Street, and Bathurst Street.
Trees and Shrubs are to be planted on private property. Anyone in the City of Toronto is welcome to a tree. However, priority will be given to those in the Annex and surrounding area.
Please take a look at the available species list and select one suitable for your planting location. Please note, the City of Toronto provides the ARA with trees and species selection will be on a first come first serve basis. While we will strive to fulfill your choice, there are no guarantees.
Volunteers needed! If you can help plant trees on May 23 and help spread the word about the tree giveaway, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
